Week 4, Term 1
Week

Wow,
what a brilliant start to the year, 3H is having. It is hard to believe we are
kicking into week 4. They have been working hard at taking on new routines and
challenging themselves with their learning. We are so proud of their efforts.
Homework
This week Year 3s will start their new homework
program. It will include a selection of times table activities and a reading log.
The times table activities have been selected for
each child depending on what one they are up to.
Children can choose their own reading book, however
if they would like to take home readers, please let Paula or myself know.
Homework will go home every second Monday (even
weeks) and is to be returned on the following Friday (odd weeks).
The children are asked to complete the times table
sheets as well as eight nights of reading that is recorded in their reading log.

COVID Update
Thank you, parents, for being so vigilant around the classroom with
wearing masks and keeping our community safe. We are doing our best to remind
the students about good hygiene, sanitising and washing hands before meals and
sneezing/coughing into our elbows. A gentle reminder that if your child is
unwell, please do not send them to school.
The Education Department are encouraging students in years 3 to 6 to
wear masks, however it is not mandatory, so the choice is up to the family and
individual.
Library books
We exchange our books on a Friday! Please ensure your child brings
their back on this day to avoid missing out on borrowing.

Congratulations to Lucas on winning our first Merit Award of 2022. Lucas
has had such a brilliant start to Grade Three, demonstrating an eagerness to
succeed and learn. Well done Lucas.
Enjoy the rest of your week.
