Week 5, Term 2
Kaya as we roll to the end of Week 4 and into the start of Week 5. (Not sure how we got here so quick)
Wow,
what a couple of massive weeks we have had. Unfortunately, as many other
educational settings around the state, we are experiencing and feeling the
impacts of illness. It is a challenging time for many, so please reach out if
there is any concerns or support needed during this time.
NAPLAN
The
children were incredible during NAPLAN, I was so incredibly proud of all of
their efforts. If your child was absent for any of the tests, Mr Torrese will
be organising a make up of these during next week.
Dance for Sick Kids Fundraiser
Kindy-Year 6 Students are
invited to a whole School Dance Class for OLC's annual Dance For Sick Kids
Fundraiser! Please join Mrs Haines next Monday Week 5, with a gold coin
donation to start our day raising money for the Ronald McDonald House Charity.
If you would like to make an online donation please use the link below:

Children to wear sports
uniform on this day. This session will not replace their normal dance lesson,
it is an added bonus!
Vinnies Winter Appeal
It’s always wonderful to see the Year 6 students
showing their initiative to demonstrate our school values by thinking of
others. Mr Lee was approached by a small group wanting to help keep local
people affected by poverty and homelessness warm over winter, by collecting
donations for the St Vincent De Paul Winter Appeal. Should you have spare clean
blankets, pillows or jackets that you wish to donate, please drop them to the
front office. Compassion for everyone.
Homework
was given out at the start of Week 4, so will be due back in on Friday Week 5.
